
The BRISTOL HILLS STORYTELLING FESTIVAL
will be held
Friday, September 7th, 2012
Featured Storytelling @ 7:00 p.m.
and Saturday, September 8th, 2012
Featured Storytelling @ 7:00 p.m.
at the ELKHART COUNTY HISTORICAL MUSEUM,
304 W. Vistula Street in Bristol.
Parking is available at the Museum,
the Post Office, and across the street.
The Museum will remain open during the Storytelling Festival.
Visitors are encouraged to browse through
the exhibits before
the program to learn about local
history. Tour guides will be
available to direct our
guests through the galleries.
In addition, enjoy listening to the “Promissory
Notes"
playing
authentic, acoustic folk and mountain music.
The Swapping Ground precedes the Featured Telling
at 5:30 pm with local informal audience participation
and is open to
anyone wishing to share or just listen to
a story at no charge. Traditionally the Swapping Grounds provides an opportunity
for interested people to tell a story
in front of a supportive audience.
Featured tellers are at 7:00 pm. Admission is $10.
Stories are family oriented for teens and adults.
No toddlers please.
The storytellers will have many wonderful CD's, and books for sale at the resource
table.
There will be beverages and snacks available.
What to bring; you might want a chair pad, you will be
sitting on metal folding chairs.
